Using PC-ORD To Analyze Multivariate DataSoftware training opportunity to be held October 19th-20th, 2004, at: The goal of this short-course is to provide new users, or those with little background in the software or multivariate analysis, with an opportunity to learn and practice how to use the software package, from getting your data in all the way through graphing the output. A description of the techniques will be given before each demonstration and the experimental options will be noted. The short-course will cover the following areas:
We particularly recommend this workshop to graduate students and university and agency researchers who have no other recourse to training in the PC-ORD software or multivariate analysis. Although a basic understanding of multivariate analyses is recommended, this workshop is designed specifically for individuals whose research and work experiences with PC-ORD may outstrip their training in the fine art of multivariate analysis. The workshop will be taught by Jeri Peck of the University of Minnesota, who worked closely with the author of the PC-ORD software for many years and has taught numerous previous workshops. Participants must bring laptops preferably with the PC-ORD software already installed, and a spreadsheet program (e.g., Excel) and a text editor (MS Editor or a word processing program). Sample datasets will be provided. The registration fee for this workshop is $365 ($265 for Antioch faculty), $170 for students, and is payable by check only.
