The Center for Tropical Ecology and Conservation (CTEC) at Antioch University New England promotes the sustainable and just use of tropical ecosystems by training conservation leaders, conducting conservation research with partner organizations, and serving as an educational resource for the New England Community.

Our objective is to help people find creative, long-term solutions to the rapid loss of biodiversity in the tropics. We do this by training the next generation of world environmental leaders who embrace the interdisciplinary nature of conservation through an ecological, social, political, and economic context.

We operate in three main areas: Research, Education, and Student Support. We are actively developing programs and opportunities that will allow CTEC to bring together students and professionals from a variety of disciplines to address the complex problems of tropical conservation and sustainable use issues.
